EMBOSS YOUR HEART OUT

Last week's class was so relaxed and fun.  In no time at all, the ladies whipped out these 4 cards.  Each one features heat embossing which added just the right amount of sheen to each one.

OUT OF THE SCRAP HEAP...

A few days ago I shared Deb's scrap box designs; today I will give you a peek at mine:

What's hiding in your scrap box?

Until the next time, take some time for random acts of kindness and a bit of stamping too!

WOOHOO! LOOK WHAT'S NEW!

Stampin' Up! has just released a new product that I am so looking forward to trying out -

A Super-cool Stamp Option: Photopolymer

What is this, you wonder? Well, it's a type of stamp where the actual stamp image is clear in addition to the block.

We're starting off with one stamp set and we plan to offer a new one each month on a trial basis.

Here is the set for March:
132956  Designer Typeset Photopolymer Stamp Set
 Recommend clear blocks A, B, G, F, and I. Purchase separately.
Includes 57 pieces. (Don't faint! This is a good overwhelming feeling.)
$13.95

Did you see how many stamps are in this set?

57! and for only $13.95!  Now that's a good deal.

SOMETHING OLD into SOMETHING NEW

Last week my friend Deb stopped by for coffee and a chat.  It was her day off; so naturally we just had to "play".  Neither of us had a specific project in mind, so I pulled out all the bits and pieces left over from other days and other projects --  punch outs, ribbons, scraps and stamped images.  Stamps, inks, and adhesives at the ready we spent the next hour or so simply playing.  The card base could be new, stamping and using punches to reshape elements into usable shapes and layouts, was acceptable; but for the most part, it was root around in the scraps and see what you find.

I love watching Deb work. She literally scrounged around in the boxes, mind open to the possibilities, and before you knew it, she had created yet another card.

Here's what she came up with:

just clowning around

The elements were all there, but it took the artist in Deb to pull out their hidden beauty.

Don't you just love the heart window Deb punched out of the stamped mat to expose the textured mat beneath?

Stuck for an idea for a card? Time limited too?  check out your scrap box -- you never know what great card in waiting there for you to discover it.

Happy Weekend!
Trish
