My husband loves all things "nature" so for his Father's Day card this year I chose images that are sure to please.

The card is much more beautiful than these pictures indicate.  The sentiment on the front reads:
"{X} is for EXTRA..... that's how special you are"
And Lou is!

* Best Dad Ever, Occasions Alphabet, Inspired by Nature (ret.), Young Vermillion (ret.) stamp sets
*River Rock, Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke card stock and classic stampin' pads
*Versamark ink pad
*Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Soft Suede stampin'write
         markers
*Metallics brads, stampin sponges, Cherry Cobbler embossing powder, SNAIL adhesive,
          3/16" corner rounder punch

PAPER BASKET class

Hi Stampers!

Every so often, I like to offer a free event for the ladies who are in my stamp club, like today's class on making a Paper Basket.

Trish's sample
Mary  & Linda planning their layouts

Using their own materials, they learned how to take 12" X 12" card stock, designer series paper, and adhesive, cut and fold,  and create a wonderful basket suitable for filling with lots of goodies for any occasion.

Pat, Katie, Karen -- focused and crafting

These are ready to be filled:
Deb's Jungle

Karen's Just Plain Fun

Each lady went home with a tutorial complete with template, a beautiful basket they are proud of, and the determination to make more on their own.

To learn more about clubs, classes, and catalogs for you and your friends message me back via this blog.

Welcome, Baby!

Hi Stampers!

My niece and her infant son Liam came for a family visit recently.  Since they live overseas, it was the first time the family Stateside got to meet the wee one.  Using my stamp-a-ma-jig and the rattle stamp from the Button Buddies set (one of my favorites), I was able to create this adorable card quickly. Liam's mom loved it.

Though a clean and simple card, both the repeated image and the variety of color add to the appeal of the card. The white panel is popped up on dimensionals to give the card a very finished look.  No embellishments makes it mailable with no additional postage (a real plus for those of us who still like sending greetings the old-fashioned way).

Supplies you will need to create this card:
*Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise card stock
*Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Night of Navy classic stampin'  pads
*Button Buddies and Petite Pairs stamp sets
*stamp-a-ma-jig
stampin' dimensionals, SNAIL adhesive

Inspiration for my card came from p. 72 of the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up catalog.  Be sure to check it out!
Don't have a catalog?  You can see it on line at my website: www.trishhernandez.stampinup.net
or contact me to receive a personal copy.

Until the next time,
HAPPY STAMPING!

Hi Stampers!

Recently my friend Eloise attended a stamping event; she asked for me to come along and help.  Here are Two of the beautiful cards we created:

While both make use of Elegant Eggplant card stock, how distinctive each card is.
The butterfly image comes from Stampin' Up's "Kindness Matters"  stamp set which is currently still available from the 2012-2013 catalog.

I never realized just what I packrat I have become until I looked at the ever-growing number of boxes where I stash the bits and pieces left over from projects -- seemingly too good to pitch, yet I never seem to get back to them.  I need some breathing space in my craft room!

My project for today is to bring order to the chaos --  die cuts and punched pieces;  textured and designer paper scraps; ribbon, stickers, etc.  I'll be tossing what no longer is in good condition (gasp!)  Tomorrow, much of these supplies will find a use in our church's summer Sunday school; this year the children are each making a personal scrapbook of their lessons and Bible verses.  I can hardly wait to see how my old supplies find new life in their hands.

So we come to the question, what is in your stash?  When was the last time you visited it?  What will you do with what you find there?

Thanks for stopping by.   Let me know how I can help you be your most creative you.

Stampingly yours,
Trish
