Flashback Friday:

In just a few hours, my husband and I will be attending a celebration honoring a dear friend and his family, who is retiring from the Military after 30 years of faithful service. To thank them for their dedication and sacrifce, I dug out one of my retired stamp sets, "The Free and The Brave" to make this card. Fitting, yes?

Card base is Night of Navy card stock.  To create depth, I stamped on Whisper White card stock multiple layers of stars in retired colors of Bashful Blue, Bordering Blue, and Not Quite Navy, as well as the current icolor Night of Navy.  Eagle is stamped in Basic Black, highlighted with retired Watercolor Pencils; mat and sponging are done in Real Red. Pop the mat up on Stampin' Dimensionals. Add  a personal message inside and it is good to go!

Wishing you a safe weekend.  Be sure to thank every military member you encounter for their service and sacrifice.  It means so much to them.  Happy stamping!
