Serene Silhouettes © Stampin' Up! |
Here's all you do: Tear off a strip of tape, lay it across your ink pad to pick up some of the color, then lay tap onto your card stock pressing down a bit especially with really light colors.
If the color saturation is too light, follow the same procedure over and over again until the color is as dark as you would like.
The same piece of tape can be used for multiple applications of the same color, but be sure to use a fresh strip when changing colors.
To make this card you will need:
stamp sets: Serene Silhouettes, Blessings from Heaven
card stock: Whisper White, Crisp Canteloupe
inks: Crushed Curry, Crisp Canteloupe, Pear Pizzazz; Stazon Jet Black solvent ink pad
other: Distressing Tool; Snail adhesive; painter's tape (from your local hardware store)
hint: Masking tape is not a good choice for this technique as is is too tacky and will in most cases tear your card stock when removing from the the card front.
Be sure to give this technique a try. I love it -- hope you will too!
Keep on stampin'!
