"SIMPLY SKETCHED" birthday card

I make and send out a ton of birthday cards, so having a good versatile layout is not only helfpul but makes my crafting time more productive. Couple a good design with a versatile stamp set, and you are ready to create a wide variety of cards for may different occasions.  One such set is "Simple Sketched".  I love the simplicity of the stamp images as well as the font for the sentiments

While the card would have been beautiful without, I chose to use my ink pads and blender pen to added just a touch of color.  Sponging the card front with So Saffron warms up the Whisper White card stock.

Add texture by dry embossing the Soft Suede mat and heat embossing the Cherry Cobbler strip.
Add a bit of baker's twine and you are done.

Supplies needed for this card:
card stock:  Cherry Cobbler, Soft suede, So Saffron, Whisper White
stamp set:  Simply Sketched (one of the current hostess sets)
inks:  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, So Saffron, Early Espresso
other:  Cherry Cobbler baker's twine, stampin' sponges, Versamark pad, clear embosssing powder, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Big Shot, stampin' dimensionals, Blender Pen

Thanks for visiting my blog today;  you are greatly appreciated.
