Lucas' Thank You Card

Our 10 year old grandson Lucas loves stamping and making his own cards.  Tomorrow is his last day of swim lessons.  He made this card for his instructor, Jake.

Pretty nifty.  Who says stamping is just for girls?

To make his card, Lucas used:
CS:  Whisper White, Real Red, Old Olive, Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango

Paper:  Celebrations designer series paper (retires June 30)

Ink:  Real Red, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango classic stampin' pads

Stamps:  Little Layers II (retired), Curly Cute

Tools: 1-3/8" circle punch

Not Stampin' Up!:  1-1/2" circle punch.

Swimmingly yours,
Trish & Lucas

For You Flower

Hi Stampers!

My program has gone crazy, so I will apologize in advance over any and all strange things that may appear in this post, particularly alignment and image issues. (sigh: I really need an in-house techie to adopt me)

Today's card is another quick and easy, featuring our soon-to-be retired stamp "For You Flower" (It will still be available for ordering via my Stampin' Up! website through June 30.)

To make this card you will need:

Super Stamps:  For You Flower, Something Sweet (leaf), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cool Colors:  Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black ink pads
Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write Marker (underline leaves, hand-draw stem)
Pleasing Papers:  Melon Mambo, Whisper White card stock
Terrific Tools:  Fancy Flower XL , 1-3/8" Circle, 1-1/4" Circle punches
Perfect Pop:  Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder, Stampin' Dimensionals

May all your days be colorful.

Until the next time,
Trish

Busy

Happy Friday, Everyone!

This has been a busy, busy day.  My husband took the day off, so we could spend the day at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo with our 10 year old grandson Lucas, who is visiting us from Houston.  Using the map, we plotted out the route we would follow in order to take in everything we wanted to see.  It was a lot of walking, and this old body hasn't gotten that kind of workout in a long time; but the cool, cloudy day was ideal for taking in all the outdoor exhibits.

We arrived at the Sea Lion pool just minutes before trainers came to demonstrate all these marvelous animals can do.  We delighted in seeing them wave hello, jump through hoops, "walk" the edge of the pool, "talk", and gobble down their fishy rewards.  Lucas declared it his favorite thing at the zoo (but he also really liked the walk-through aquarium).

Tonight "Cheaper Than Therapy" hostess club meets here at the house, our last meeting for the current catalog.  Three of our members will not be able to attend; so Lucas and his grandpa have volunteered to make their cards for them.  It is going to be the perfect end to a perfect day.

Until the next time, keep on smiling.

Trish
